Ya.....
I know I have been M.I.A. For a while but so here's an update on me. In December I had a cancer scare. My routine liver check for my cholesterol meds came back alarmingly abnormal. So I had to have a bunch of tests on my birthday of all days lol. Luckily it was not cancer and my liver is recovering slowly but surely. I started back to school in February. I am taking Child Health and Multicultural in the classroom. I like the multicultural class better. We have had presentations from Bulgaria, Guatamala, Iran, Mexico and they all served yummy food :P If I finish these classes I will get paid more. Unfortunately because of the economy I am not getting much work. Teachers can't afford to take off, thus the subs get no work. I have used my spare time to work on classwork and penpal and swap. I go to Starbucks and read a lot. I have watched a lot of movies on DVD. Milk, Slumdog Millionaire (I got a hookup who works in the industry lol ) Doubt. I want to download "Jai Ho" on my itunes. AS A MEMBER OF GREENPEACE .... Today is Earth Day, and while many of you are doing your part to go green, some not-so-green companies are spending a lot of money to pretend they are. While some companies are genuinely trying to be sustainable, others are paying lip service to being green while carrying on with business as usual. I'm sure you've seen the slick ads on TV and in your favorite magazine about environmentally-friendly oil and auto companies or so-called "clean coal."
It's what we call greenwashing - when a company advertises that it's developing a green product line or engaging in sustainable business practices when it really isn't. Well, this Earth Day, we've got news for them. Greenpeace has just launched a website designed to expose greenwashing practices in corporate America: www.StopGreenwash.org. We're launching our new site with three investigative pieces on nuclear power, "Clean Coal" and General Motors' "Gas Friendly to Gas Free" campaigns. And YOU have a chance to show these big companies that you won't be fooled by misleading green advertising and public relations campaigns. If you find an ad you think is a phony, upload it to our site. Or visit the site and vote for the ads you think are the most misleading. And that's not all. Keep coming back to the site to get our take on these greenwashing campaigns. Coming soon will be more investigations of Big Auto, Big Oil, the chemical industry, and retailers. We'll expose the deception and give you the real story - wiping away the greenwash and spurring the companies to do better.

AS I LISTEN...
to the "Essential Michael Jackson" I am still struck at how awesome this guy is, and always will be. I know all of you who grew up with him would agree , even if its half heartedly. Half the crap that is put out nowadays is based on his beats lol ! I don't see him as this evil man, who preys on kids. Fortunately I was able to get very very very close info on him , because "D.R" lived next door for a year , The paparazzi staked out neighborhood and everything. Everybody is like " Oh they are just trying to feed their families" BULLSHIT ! These people almost ran down my young neighbors, to get a shot of her car. But one day my School Van Driver cursed him out and dented his bumper GO JOSE !!! He is very ill. And because of his beliefs , entourage , etc. He has not gotten the help he needs. And deep psychological issues that are untreated as long as it has been in him, probably are not curable. If people knew how much he gave to charity, and how many local schools he had come up to Neverland Ranch, I hope they would shut their mouths. I truly hope he does do the show in Vegas. OH YA ! did you know Heather Locklear uses the "F" word 5 times on just 1 episode of Dynasty ? | | Thursday, August 9th, 2007 | | 12:12 am |
GETTING READY FOR S.F. I am hoping to get into the airport by Sunday the 19th; I am also hoping puakalehua and I can spend a few hours together; Tuesday night I will be seeing Flogging Molly in Santa Cruz; Unfortunately, Ryan has to work , so we can't go to the infamous "Mystery Spot " this time :( The rest of the week, I am pretty much just gonna discover the city , eat the really good food they have up there , try to finish the Harry Potter books, and knit and crochet. If anybody has any suggestions on where to eat, cheap places to visit etc, please comment ! | | Tuesday, July 24th, 2007 | | 10:25 pm |
CRASH I guess I will start from 2 weeks ago...
I was in the car with my Dad , on a street that is usually pretty easy to drive and very little traffice. NEVER trust any street !!!! it happened so fast, basically some guy side swiped us, and the car in our front and back slammed their breaks, and crashed into the front and rear bumper. The main impact side ? The passenger's . Who was the passenger ? Moi :( So after the cops came, I went to Kaiser, and the doc said I hurt my shoulder pretty bad, and she wanted me to lay off using it for a week. I DID wear a sling for 2 days, But, bills unfortunately come first, so I worked all last week, and pretty much re- injured my shoulder . One of the kids dropped a tricycle on my toe, so that is sprained too. We have a new Asian reflexology clinic down the street I am going to try, because I am so anti pain meds. And then I will go next door to get my pedicure and paint my nails "Sparkle Pink" on the advice of my 5 year olds lol ! I am getting ready for Fall Classes, so I can finish my A/A by next Summer. Also looking at apartments. I can manage one right now, but I wanna wait till I work full time, so I don't have to live off of boiled hotdogs . | | Tuesday, June 26th, 2007 | | 1:36 am |

FINALLY A POST AFTER 9 WEEKS !
I have been working my ass off at work. But good news is I already am getting a raise ! My Co- workers are really cool too. I mean if one of them shows up to work in a "pimp" hat feather and all, that HAS to be a fun place to work :) My kids have seen the Gryffindor scarf and some other stuff I bring in to knit during naptime. So far my latest project is a knitted amigurumi pirate, and I think NUCLEARFLOWERS would know who Cthulhu is, but those are the latest ones in progress. Ryan and PUAKALEHUA have been urging me to list the Harry Potter scarves in the store, ( which will be updated with Kawaii ASAP ,but what would be a good price for them ? Any suggestions ? I am still into Kawaii, but just not as much . I guess people get that kinda feeling with hobbies sometimes. Then you become obsessed again lol ! I am really into Re-ments and Puchis though. I can get them VERY easily and instead of like 8 bucks shipping from Hong Kong I think its about 1 USD ? go here : http://www.re-ment.co.jphttp://www.megahouse.co.jp I saw the movie "KNOCKED UP" yesterday. I thought it was very cute. I have been watching a lot of old movies lately especially with Greta Garbo and Joan Crawford . I am tired of the cookie cutter , stick thin, non talented, classless bitches that are the starlets nowadays. I seriously will be happy to get away from L.A. this Summer, cause I am sick of hearing about Paris Hilton and if she got beat up in jail ... |
